Do you know what your design software is up to?

engineers through a step by step instruction guide for implementing the DAM. Each attendee will receive a copy of this guide which is developed from CSC’s experience working with 1000s of Structural Engineers and the Direct Analysis Method.

In late 2009, CSC ran a series of webinars and gave more than 2,000 structural engineers across America an insight into the 2005 AISC Steel Specification (13th Edition). Through their webinars, CSC explained how the specification has introduced significant changes to the way stability analysis and design must be carried out and provided guidance for implementing the Direct Analysis Method (DAM) practically on projects.

"CSC aims to deliver educational topics of value and interest to the industry on a regular basis. It's clear that there was much confusion surrounding the DAM which is why we chose to run the 'The DAM made

simple' webinar" said Matthew Newton, America's Regional Director for CSC. " It was so well received, we conducted a follow-up webinar event 'How to implement the DAM'."

To help engineers in the USA, CSC is offering people a FREE download of the webinar slides, question and answers summary document and a technical white paper at cscworld.com. The documentation clearly explains what the DAM is, how it affects engineers, and provides simple guidance on implementing the DAM.
