CSC leads the way with Eurocode training

Leading structural engineering software provider, CSC, is now providing nationwide Eurocode training courses for users of TEDDS and Fastrak. Eurocodes are already available in their TEDDS calculation software, and a Eurocode version of their Fastrak Building Designer software will launch before Christmas.

"Some British Standard codes are being withdrawn in March 2010, so there will be a short time where both British Standard

codes and Eurocodes are being used. It makes business sense for structural engineers to make that move towards designing to Eurocodes now," comments Chris George, Business Services Director at CSC. "We want to help our users get up to speed with Eurocodes quickly so that they can design the most efficient solutions using the new codes."

Not only will delegates leave CSC's training with a full understanding of the difference between British Standards and Eurocodes - and the fundamental difference in design approaches - but they will be able to provide comparative designs using British Standards and Eurocodes in order to assess the most efficient solution.

"Our training courses are hands-on and use real life examples. We run sessions on-site at our client's premises and delegates can also attend training at our regional centres throughout the UK," says George.
