CSC has developed a brand new version of its market leading Portal Frame Design software.

As well as introducing a new, easier to use interface and fully automatic member

stability for portal frame design, the new version now integrates seamlessly with Fastrak Building Designer. This gives users the option of creating a single 3D model for all steel building models, whilst using the most appropriate tool for design and ultimate economy.

Engineers can now specify portal frames within Fastrak Building Designer, knowing that the software will provide an automatically optimised portal frame design as part of a 3D model.

To assist with the modelling of portal framed structures within Fastrak Building Designer, additional tools have been added to allow automatic modelling of gable posts and parapets, as well as overall wind load and snow loading options.
