Orion 15.1 is now available for advanced RC building design
|
"This release is a major one for all Orion users" states Kevin Lea, Group Business Development Manager.
"Enhanced 3D modelling capabilities makes model creation easier especially for more geometrically challenging projects, whilst enhancements to foundation design makes the overall design process quicker and more accurate, reducing the potential for manual errors."

The eagerly anticipated release of Orion 15.1 is now here.
Building on the success of former releases, Orion 15.1 is the most comprehensive concrete modelling and design system worldwide.
New interface
Release 15.1 brings with it the next generation of its user interface.
Enhanced viewports and presentation tools, including creation of image and video files, are now available.

Sloping members
Sloping beams and columns can now be controlled in 3D enabling complex geometry layout to be easily created.
Pile group design
Orion will establish an appropiate number of piles and layout based on the resultant reactions on the pile group.
Linked foundations
Foundation loads from other models (ie adjacent buildings) can now be imported to enable the design of combined footings.
Curved grids and beams
Buildings are becoming more and more geometrically demanding and with Orion's new curve capabilities for grids and beams these previous challenges are now easily achieved.
Integration with Revit Structure
Orion now has the ability to import or export physical models to and from Revit Structure.
The ability to share physical properties with the technician can speed up the design process significantly.
