Dubai Software Seminar: Essential Solutions for Structural Engineers

The afternoon session introduced CSC's popular building design solutions for steel and concrete - Fastrak Building Designer and Orion, the latter ideal for automating the analysis, design and detail drawings for lower rise 'villa' type projects.

On November 12th CSC and local Reseller e.Construct FZ-LLC welcomed users and prospects to the 2008 Dubai Software Seminar.

A large audience of Engineers from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and even as far as Bahrain were in attendance to learn more about CSC's most popular, essential elemental design packages and full 3D building design solutions.

The morning session covered TEDDS, general purpose 'Calculation Pad for Structural Engineers', the S-Concrete RC section design package and a number of Fastrak steel element design tools for a wide range of beam, column and connections.

Although the U.A.E is known for its use of concrete in most structures, the use of steel is increasing, particularly for architectural features and walkways joining RC towers, hence the demonstration of Fastrak proved very beneficial. Several delegates remarked how user friendly and capable the software looked and a number were keen to invest straight away.
