Technical Forums: Effective Building Design Solutions for Engineers
|
Although the Asia region is known for its concrete structures, use of steel is on the increase [especially with a growing need to consider reusable materials] and hence demonstrations of the latest version of Fastrak Building Designer proved very beneficial.
As always hints and tips are most appreciated and TEDDS was no exception - with presentations on the new Eurocode library.
"These Seminars were a great success and we look forward to inviting all our users in the New Year to view the next developments we have planned for them" – Nigel Watts, CSC's Asia Sales Director.

In September 2008 CSC held its biannual Building Design Forums in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore, with over 400 engineers in attendance.
Several delegates remarked that our developers have provided new releases at an incredible rate this year, highlighting four significant releases of Orion this year
|
"We had many new features, hints and tips to share with our users in Asia" recalled Kevin Lea - CSC's Group Business Development Manager.
"Our policy is to provide functionality in our software, which our customers request.
Orion 15.1 is filled with user-driven features that will bring major benefits to our customers in Asia".
New features in Orion 15.1 include open 3D geometry, sloping members, curved beams and grids, linked foundations, pile group design, Eigenvalue analysis and a brand new graphics engine.
The new Orion features demonstrated were a great hit and are eagerly awaited.
In addition to the new release of Orion, an overview was presented on how Orion will integrate with Revit Structure and how the design model can complement the Building information environment.
