Team CSC win the Gaz de France Corporate Relay Race

Entries are now being taken for 2009 when the CSC stalwarts will again be in evidence to defend their title in the City's traditional and popular 13.1 mile race.

With over 150 teams competing on the day, it was Team CSC's 'elite athletes' who took gold by winning the Gaz de France Corporate Relay Race, part of the Leeds Half Marathon staged on Sunday 7 September 08

After support and training advice, and hearty cheers from the many spectators along the way - CSC's team of 6 crossed the finish line in first place - a fantastic achievement.

The event was sponsored by Gaz de France with the support of Leeds City Council. The official race charity was the Yorkshire-based

"Andrea's Gift", which is dedicated to supporting people in the Yorkshire County affected by brain tumours.

Our formidable relay team of John Carey, Kenny Arnott, Simon Bellwood, Adam Brook, Alan Rathbone and Chris Wilson competed against teams from many local businesses and clients, over a circuit that took runners around the whole city centre.

The CSC winners were greeted in Millennium Square by the Lord Mayor of Leeds. The presentation included champagne and a commemorative plaque.
