With AutoCAD still the preferred CAD platform in the industry, 3D+ remains the most popular 'bolt-on' modelling system for automating GA drawing production and integration with CSC's design software. 3D+ continues to go from strength to strength. Version 8.0 - free to all users with current maintenance contracts, is a significant update dominated by the following drawing and modelling technical developments:-

Drawings

• New member representation dialogue
• Improved member representation editing e.g. layer setting by each representation style - Separate layers for members shown in section
• Layer names are now case sensitive
• Enhanced member cutting around text labels

• New option to not show fittings on drawings
• New alias and profile name differentiation in views
• Improved user-defined section label positioning
• Speed increases for faster drawing view creation
• Enhanced modifying of hatch scale in the drawing dialogue
• Improved assembly item selection
• More line types supported in drawing views
